Langford lies within School District 62 Sooke, and is home to a variety of schools to help meet the needs of each individual student.
Millstream Elementary is located just steps away from the neighbourhood of Thetis Heights. Millstream Elementary teaches children from kindergarten to grade five, and offers a French immersion program.
Ecole John Stubbs Memorial also offers French immersion for both elementary and middle school students, teaching children from kindergarten to grade 8. It is located in South Langford, next to Royal Roads University, and offers a hockey academy for athletically-inclined students.
Belmont Secondary School is one of the newest schools in the Greater Victoria Area. It offers a variety of programs for students from grades 9 to 12, including cosmetology, trades opportunities, and French Immersion.
Despite its close proximity to Victoria, Langford has become a shopping destination itself. Large national chain stores largely absent from downtown Victoria are easily accessible in Millstream Village, as well as grocery stores and family-friendly restaurants. Millstream also is home to the only Costco in the Greater Victoria area. Visitors and locals alike love Goldstream Avenue for its boutique shopping, coffee shops and restaurants. The largest shopping centre in Langford is found in the southern part of the city, at Westshore Town Centre, anchored by a conveniently-located Real Canadian Superstore. Since it is such a fast-growing community, shopping in Langford is constantly developing!
